The Association of Independent Publishers (AIP) is celebrating its 20th Anniversary on 13 November 2025 at Holiday Inn, Sunnyside Park Johannesburg. This year-marking two decades of dedication to strengthening and supporting independent community media across South Africa. The media houses across the country were invited to take part in this event as opportunities will be available to grow their businesses back home.
The Executive Director of AIP, Dr Kate Skinner said they are proud of AIP’s history. “AIP has tirelessly fought for the community print and online sector providing training, research and advice to our publishers. We’re excited to continue to do that for the next 20 years!! We wish our publishers every success in the new, very challenging digital environment. However, we must still nurture print to run alongside that,” said Dr Skinner.
