The AmaMpondo Kingdom’s Princess Stella Sigcau II is flying the flag of AmaMpondo nation high, as she was honored recently with the prestigious Iconic Royal Heritage and Cultural Preservation Award to celebrate her contribution to South Africa, the African continent and globally. Sigcau was homored in a spectacular event held at the Capital on the Park in Sandton, Johannesburg and Princess Stella II was a Presidential guest of honour and honoraree.
Stella was over the moon even being nominated and welcomed it with both hands. This prestigious category is reserved for members of African Royal Houses who advance lineage protection, cultural tourism, heritage development, and the empowerment of women and communities within traditional leadership spaces. She said it is a great honour to be part of this august event. Princess Stella Sigcau II is a seasoned diplomat with her impressive diplomatic career spanning over 21 years, a philanthropist and a visionary leader and she will be honored for her enduring hard work, dedication and commitment over a number of years to making a difference to the communities making her mark globally as well as her contribution in the fight against GBV and Femicide (GBVF. She founded the Mpondo Reed Dance in 2008 and is the co-founder of the Mpondo Culture and Heritage Festival in 2006.
