The Princess of amaMpondo and Secretary General of the South African Royal Princesses Network, donated food parcels to iXabiso Lomntu, an orphanage home for the needy in Mfundisweni, Flagstaff. Her small meaningful initiative was donated to support the children and caregivers at the home. In her effort, the princess was accompanied by the community leader Ayanda Faku.
Amongst items she donated included cabbages and maize meal sourced from her own family farm, Ntananda Agricultural Project Primary Co-operative, while the remaining items in the parcels were purchased as a personal contribution.
Princess Ndamase revealed that she is working on more ways to assist her community in the near future. She is currently developing a school-based initiative for high school learners, focusing on mental health awareness and gender based violence prevention, with the aim of equipping young people with knowledge, resilience, and access to support systems. “The initiative will include the participation of His Majesty King Silosohlanga kaDakhile Sigcau, with the University of South Africa (UNISA) also playing a crucial role in supporting and implementing the programme’s educational components”, he concluded.
