Construction of Gcuwa Mall is underway

The construction of Gcuwa Mall in Butterworth started last Monday, as the sod-turning ceremony took place and it is a huge boost for the community of Butterworth and surrounding areas.

There are 50 shops that are expected to operate open businesses as well as job opportunities in this mall. According to the Mnquma Local Municipality spokesperson Loyiso Mpalatshane, an estimated 1500 jobs will be created during the construction and 960 permanent jobs upon completion of the project.

He said this is a great opportunity for unemployed young people in the former industrial town.

Meanwhile this is a joint partnership between Lewie Properties and Shenge Property Group, based in Gauteng.
