The Boxing South Africa (BSA) has recently confirmed the receipt of immediate resignation of the Eastern Cape Provincial Manager, Ms Siya Vabaza Booi. It was reported that Vabaza-Booi submitted her resignation which she humbly requested that it takes effect as of immediate due to what she cited as personal reasons.
BSA admitted that it has not been an easy decision to accept this resignation which they stated that it came just shy of two years since Vabaza-Booi commenced her responsibilities as the provincial manager in the Eastern Cape Province. Booi made history as the first female Provincial Manager appointed by BSA. The organization expressed its gratitude for the sterling work which Ms Vabaza did within the limited time that she spent at the helm of professional boxing in the Eastern Cape.
Meanwhile, Boxing South Africa (BSA) has appointed Phakamile Jacobs, the erstwhile Provincial Manager, to assume the role of Acting Provincial Manager in the Eastern Cape Province until a substantive appointment has been made.
