As part of the provincial 2026 Back-to-School Programme, the Eastern Cape MEC for Agriculture Nonceba Kontsiwe this week conducted an official oversight walkout at the Ngozi Senior Primary School (SPS) administration block.
MEC Kontsiwe was joined by the Executive Mayor of Alfred Nzo District Municipality, Cllr Nomasomi Mshuqwana and leadership from the Ntabankulu Local Municipality. The project which broke ground in October 2025, involved the construction of a comprehensive 12-room administration block. This facility is designed to enhance the administrative capacity of the school and provide a conducive environment for educators and management.
Meanwhile, the site inspection follows an intensive engagement session between provincial leadership and Ngozi SPS stakeholders. These consultations ensured that the infrastructure rollout meets the specific needs of the school community while fostering a sense of local ownership. In her address Kontsiwe emphasized that the timely delivery of educational infrastructure is a cornerstone of the provincial government’s strategy to improve learner outcomes and restore the dignity of rural schools.
