EC music diva nominated at a global stage

The Eastern Cape renowned Afro Traditional jazz singer, Dr Nomdakazana Dlamini is once again nominated in She Global Awards East Africa in Kenya, the awards which are expected to take place at the mid of November 2024.

Nevertheless, her dream to attend the African prestigious event may be hindered by her financial situation, so she is calling for the Eastern Government of any Good Samaritan to lend a helping hand.

The Nyandeni born in Libode was nominated in the Entertainment Founder of the year category. She earned this nomination because of the Mzansi Traditional and Cultural Music Awards that she runs annually since 2020.

This is the second Global nomination, as she was also nominated by Republic Du Benin and she brought home an award of being an International Cultural Exchange Ambassador, in a country where she was doing cultural exchange for South Africa.

In May this year, Nomdakazana was also made International Cultural Exchange Ambassador by Tanzania representing South Africa, as the country (SA) celebrating 30 years of democracy. “I am very excited for the nomination, it shows that somewhere there, someone is watching my good work even outside the country,” she said.

Dlamini called on her province, Eastern Cape to lay a helping hand to make her dream come true, as she may be unable to attend the awards in Kenya. I doubt I will even attend because I won’t afford flights, that’s why I am appealing to my province or any Good Samaritan to help,” she concluded.
