The Eastern Cape NPO Forum is giving free Artificial Intelligence (AI) training to 15,000 young people. The training will start on 1 May 2025 and will be done online. This is a great chance for unemployed youth in the Eastern Cape to learn new skills for the future.

The training is for people between the ages of 18 and 40 who are not working. You must have passed at least Grade 10 and own a smartphone or computer. You also need to know how to use your device.

Students will be taught by experts and will also have a chance to meet other young people who are also learning. This can help them grow their network and improve their chances of getting a job. Mr. Nkululeko Mgwayi, the Secretary of the Forum, said, “We know the deadline is close, but we really want our youth to apply.

This is a big step in fighting youth unemployment.” The Forum is working together with NetCampus and Microsoft to make this possible. According to Mr. Thobela Peter Phelusile, the Chairperson of the Forum, the goal is to give black youth the skills they need to grow in today’s digital world.

The course will run for 30 days and include topics like:

  • What is Generative AI
  • How search engines have changed
  • Best ways to use AI
  • Making AI easy for everyone to access
  • How to use Microsoft Copilot
  • Safety and security in the AI world
