EmaXesibeni based XJ Athletic Club held its end function and annual general meeting at the famous Esingeni Erra Village in the outskirts of EmaXesibeni. Runners came in drovers to witness this very auspicious event whereby every financial statement and transactions were tabled so that they can be aware of how their finances were utilized during the financial year.
As the club believes in transparency the runner made to understand how their money was used, also the club refuses a situation whereby the management and runners operate in solos. Accountability, transparency and value for money are the things that propel the club to aspire to be on of the best clubs in running arenas.
Meanwhile, the runners who excelled in the running arenas were also issued with a token of appreciation like checks which doubled what they got last previous year. This year the club attacked the ultimate human race “comrades marathon” with the regiment of 36 runners which doubled last year’s number and all of them finished or crossed the finishing line. The club also revealed that they are standing at 46 runners who are looking forward to competing in next year’s comrade marathon.
The president of the club Mncedisi Nxumalo expressed his gratitude to the runners who showed their enthusiasm throughout the year urging them to do so in the coming year. Mncedisi also took off his hat for the good leadership shown in the club which gives hope to the people. He stressed that since its establishment in 2018 the club never turned back, instead it had improved a lot since then.
