The Flying Loudcast Agency is excited to announce the inaugural Mandela Bay Music Video Film Festival, set to take place on 31 May 2025 at the historic Atheneum in Gqeberha.
This groundbreaking festival aims to celebrate and showcase South Africa’s diverse music video talent while supporting the growth of the local creative industry.
Musicians, directors, and video producers from across the country are encouraged to submit their music videos, regardless of genre. Submissions are free, and the deadline is midnight on 20 May 2025. The winner of the prestigious “Best Music Video” award will receive a cash prize of R1 000.
Submitted videos will be judged by a panel of industry experts based on creativity, technical quality, and overall impact.
More than just a screening event, the festival will offer a full day of workshops and masterclasses led by experienced professionals. Topics will include directing, editing, visual effects, and digital distribution—giving aspiring creators the skills and insights needed to thrive in the competitive music and film industries.
The festival is the vision of Sebenzile Zalabe, founder of Flying Loudcast Agency, who sees the platform as a way to empower young creatives and help them turn their passion for music and content creation into viable careers. With strong support from partners like the Nelson Mandela Bay Development Agency, MyBliss Technologies, and Sonwabo Audio Visuals, the event is set to make a lasting impact.
