As part of enhancing service delivery and improving police response time, the acting Sarah Baartman District Commissioner, Colonel Andries Landman has redirected four high performance motor bikes.

The motor bikes, which were used to enhance police visibility along the beaches during the Festive Season, were handed over to areas with bad roads, extremely terrible terrain, and farms.

Meanwhile, the four high performance motor bikes were part of the ten that were handed over by the Minister of Police, Senzo Mchunu to the Eastern Cape in December 2024, to enhance police visibility along the beaches in preparation for the Safer Festive Season.

Three police stations, Kirkwood, received two bikes, with Alexandria and Kenton On Sea, each station received one.
