KwaPayne born gospel artist in Mthatha, Eastern Cape, Abongile Mbebe is back in the music industry in full force after a long absence due to the outbreak of COVID 19. The musician, songwriter and performer confirmed that the outbreak of COVID 19 pandemic immensely affected his music career.
Abostar, as he affectionately known, stressed that he is on track of moulding and reshaping his music career after being unavailable on the stage for a very long time. Abongile hit the ground running as he managed to release his red-hot album ‘Baba Ndiyavuma’. Album was released on the 9th March 2025, and is available in all online stores. “My album was recorded and registered in 2017, but after lockdown, I got disturbed and that affected me a lot on promoting it, hence I am only paying attention to it now. I’m praying and hoping that God can help me grow the album,” he saiAbongile believes that lyrics of his music speak to each and every one and lift up the spirit even if you are down and out.
“I always encourage my followers to not just focus on my sound which my producer did an amazing job creating, but lyrics, I believe they speak to each and every one and lift your spirit up, it doesn’t matter what you going through or had gone through, my music will make you realize that you can rebuild,” boasted Abongile.
