The annual LCM Ludidi Memorial Run/Walk managed to raise R40 000.00, for Ntabazengcuka Athletics Club. The event was held on 17 May 2025 at Sophia Park, KwaBhaca formerly known as Mt Frere.
The highlight of the day was the 21km main race, won by Sentso Remaketse from Lesotho in 1 hour, 7 minutes, and 48 seconds. High-energy bootcamp session was hosted by Coach Koko of Trinity Aerobics and Fitness Club from Mount Ayliff. He ensured that the participants were sweating and smiling in equal measure.
Adding even more value to the day was a career guidance session facilitated by Nondumiso Phakathi from Nelson Mandela University (NMU).
Meanwhile, Ndoda Langa Organising Committee Chairperson expressed his gratitude to the sponsors of the event. “We also had a vibrant Business Fair, which kept Sophia Park buzzing throughout the day of the event. Local entrepreneurs and sponsors showcased their products and services, ranging from health foods to handmade crafts,” he said.
He also stressed that the LCM Ludidi Memorial Fun Run/Walk proved once again that when fitness, opportunity, and community come together, something truly special happens. “Plans are already in motion to make next year’s event even bigger. Thank you for your sponsorship. May you continue such acts of goodwill,” concluded Langa.
